I am hard core cloth diapering momma, build up was not going to stop me from using cloth diapers, but I was being held hostage on my diaper stripping days every other week.... THERE MUST BE AN EASIER WAY!!!!
Rockin' Green is the easy was to wash your precious, hard working, money invested cloth diapers..What can I say we got De-Funked
I remember it like it was yesterday, It was a cold rainy morning in November, I was still in my pajamas and housecoat, when at the door was the postal delivery woman, with a package.. My Rockin' Green Has Arrived... I was so excited, I called my husband at work, who didn't really share my enthusiasm over cloth diaper detergent!!!
First Time User: the mission is to de-funk your diapers! To get rid of built up minerals and left over detergent do the following:
1. Fill your washer with hot water and 3 Tbsp of Rockin’ Green, along with your diapers.
2. Let it soak for approximately 30-60 minutes. Then launder as usual. If you have a HE machine, you may have to consult your manual but you can usually do a soak by pressing the start or pause button.
*Tip: Repeat this process anytime you need a good deep-cleaning. If your diapers have excessive buildup or residue, it may take a few soaks to get them in good condition.
~ I let the diapers soak for 1 hour only and 5 months of build up (lets face I never really had them build up free) came off. We are super absorbent, stink free, and looking forward to the next wash because Monkey Snacks Scent is sooo Yummy! I have to add though, after the was cycle there is no scent remaining on the diaper...the good news that means the detergent is working you don't want to smell anything on your diapers.
Washing diapers and clothing should not be a complicated ordeal. Forget everything that you have heard, and keep it simple. You don‘t need extra boosters or add-ons with Rockin’ Green

CD tip: start small. find a type/style/brand you like, after trying different ones, THEN order a bunch. if you order a bunch of one type then try them, you might get stuck with 200-300 bucks worth of diapers you don't even like!

ant to follow you on Twitter, but you aren't coming up in the search!
ReplyDeleteMy CD tip: Going out for a short trip? Might need to change a diaper while out? Stick a clean diaper and a wiper in a wetbag and toss it in your purse - no need for the whole diaper bag!

Lavender vanilla, baby!
ReplyDeleteMy cloth-diapering tip: If you think you're suddenly having a lot of leaks and stripping doesn't help...your baby is probably outgrowing the diapers! Even a little snug can means leaks at the legs or compression wicking.
I would love to try the cherry almond or the peppermint cocoa.

My cloth diapering tip - practice the different folds and using the snappi or pins before you have the baby :-), even if you don't think you'll use them.

I want the Pumkin Crunch Scent.

Just started following your blog!
My best CD tip is to buy used diapers! Let the first owner "eat" the depreciation on them, I have gotten some great deals on diapers in awesome condition.
I would love to try lavendar vanilla.
ReplyDeleteCloth diapering tip: Don't let negative feedback from others discourage you. Remind yourself why your doing this and educate others!
ReplyDeleterbpeters@route2.pe.ca
My cloth diapering tip is to use the biodegradable liners. I love these, especially since we don't have a diaper sprayer!
